On Saturday 18 February 2017 Miss Heritage Botswana was crowned 3rd runner-up at Miss Heritage Global 2017 pageant, held at The Lyric Theater, Gold Reef City, Johannesburg, South Africa. The international beauty contest which seeks to promote world heritage attracted over 60 contestants from around the world. The brainchild of the pageant, Tare Munzara from Zimbabwe, says that the pageant brings together women from across the globe to showcase their countries’ culture. Miss France was the official winner and Miss Malaysia was the first runner up.
Apart from being crowned Miss Heritage Global 3rd runnerup, Oweditse Gofaone Phirinyane was also crowned Miss Heritage Africa and Humanity Ambassador.
