Back to basics – restoring the beauty of African wedding gowns

In the times past when we were so excited by every modern development that came as result of colonialism. The monochrome thought pattern engulfed many of our nations. One of the areas where such monochrome was seen is in the wedding outfits space where the white wedding was adopted as a default, setting aside our African tradition looks.

African wedding dresses are usually modest, glamorous at the same time. When it comes to dressing up for weddings in Africa, the wedding attire has always been known to be uniform or consistent with the modern culture.
